A new feature has been introduced on the ICEGATE Portal for re-transmitting Shipping Bills (SBs) to DGFT. After logging into ICEGATE, users can submit SB details through the “DGFT Retransmission Enquiry” service, which will then be processed by ICES and forwarded to DGFT. The retransmission process takes approximately 48 hours to complete. After submission, users can track the status of their SB retransmission by using the “DGFT Retransmission Status Enquiry” service. The process involves filling out mandatory fields such as SB Date, SB Number, Port Code, and IEC. The status check can reveal various conditions like invalid SB details, issues with EGM filing, or SB assessment status. To access these services, users need to follow a simple, step-by-step process through the ICEGATE Portal. In case of issues, users can contact ICEGATE helpdesk via phone or email.

1. Overview

A feature has been developed for the users, to re-transmit the Shipping Bill (SBs) to DGFT, post login through ICEGATE Portal. Once the user submits the relevant Shipping Bill details in “DGFT Retransmission Enquiry”, the details will be sent to ICES and then ICES can further process to DGFT for Retransmission. It will take approximately 48 hours to complete the Retransmission Process post submission of SB details. Post Retransmission, user can also check Retransmission status in “DGFT Retransmission Status Enquiry” through ICEGATE Portal.

2. Submit the SB Details for Re-transmission:

Users to follow the below mentioned steps to “Submit the SB details for Re­transmission to DGFT” through ICEGATE Portal.

Step 1: Login to ICEGATE portal with respective credentials.

Step 2: Click on “Services” widget.

Step 3: Navigate to “Enquiries” and click on “ICEGATE Enquiry Service”

Step 4: Click on “DGFT” enquiry

Step 5: Click on DGFT Retransmission Facility (SB)

Step 6: User needs to fill all the mandatory fields and submit the details as mentioned below:

(i) SB Date

(ii) SB Number

(iii) Port Code

(iv) IEC

3. Retransmission Status:

Users to follow the below steps to check “Retransmission Status” through ICEGATE Portal.

Step 1: Login to ICEGATE portal with respective credentials.

Step 2: Click on “Services” widget.

Step 3: Navigate to “Enquiries” and click on “ICEGATE Enquiry Service”.

Step 4: Click on DGFT

Step 5: Click on DGFT Retransmission Status Enquiry.

Step 6: User needs to fill all the mandatory fields and search for the Retransmit Status.

(i) SB Number

(ii) SD Date

(iii) Port Code

(iv) IEC

Upon submission, one of the following statuses will be visible to the user:

(i) Invalid Shipping Bill No/Date

(ii) EGM not filed

(iii) Shipping Bill is provisionally assessed

(iv) EGM date must be less than today’s date

(v) Shipping Bill already recorded for DGFT transmission today

(vi) Shipping Bill does not contain LIC/DEPB/DFIA/ROSCTL/DBK Scroll is not generated/ROSCTL claim is present
